The desert is a beautiful place. I often venture out to the areas beyond the city, along dusty dirt roads and four-wheel-drive trails. The desert at night is a very dark place, as the city lights don’t carry out much beyond the streets. And this is where you need light, so you hit the light bar switch and then see far into the distance. The lights reveal the hazards that lie in front of you, and guide you safely to your destination.

Many of our guests who are experiencing homelessness have lost their way or have had such trauma in their lives that this light is dim, and the struggle for even a meal or shower can be overwhelming. The Lord said in John 8:12: “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” Together with your help we can lead people to Jesus, to have this verse be the truth in their lives, and they will never again be in darkness. Thank you for partnering with us in this life saving work and helping us to lead the lost, hurting, and broken to the light of Jesus.
