BASIC CLOTHING NECESSITIES

Clothing is distributed to those in need each Monday at 11:30am and at selected special events. Tickets are handed out at the mission office from 10:30am to 11:30am.

We offer basic necessity clothing including, but not limited to:

  • Pants
  • Shirts
  • Socks
  • Shoes
  • Underwear
  • Coats
  • Blankets

The weekly mission distribution is for everyone, persons are allowed up to 10 items per person if available each week. When a person comes every week, they will be asked to not participate for a period of time (no one really needs that much clothing).

Clothing is also given to needy families through our Thrift Store on a referral basis. Referrals are accepted from the Fire Dept., Call for Life Pregnancy Center, and other organizations that are approved by the mission or thrift store manager in advance.

GROCERY ASSISTANCE

The Victor Valley Rescue Mission also has a Food Pantry where needy families or individuals can come for grocery items.

Food Pantry Frequently Asked Questions

How often can a person/family receive grocery assistance?

One time per month for 6 months, and may be eligible for 6 month extension. Each calendar year every person/family must re-qualify to receive food from the pantry.

Who qualifies to for grocery assistance?

Victor Valley Residents, with proof of residency, number of persons in their household, and proof of low income.

You are most welcome to come and join us for a meal and some conversation at the Victor Valley Rescue Mission. We would love to serve you a hot meal in a safe environment. You are welcome anytime we are serving. Just come at the meal times listed below, get into the line, and you will have a hot meal served to you as you are seated.

Yes, if they are belligerent and/or are using foul language (If excessive they may be asked not to come back for a designated period of time.)
