There is something powerful in a humble act of service; there is something soul reaching in being served. It is as if the heart of the servant and the one being served have both found a communal place. When you look around you see this type of love and acts of kindness at the mission. This passion flows through the volunteers and staff.

What does that passion for service look like?

It is handing out towels and hygiene products at the fairgrounds shower facilities. It is sorting, stocking, and selling items at the Victor Valley Thrift Store. It is handing out a cup of water and food at the mission or giving backpacks to children.
It is helping the family with six children who, because of a medical emergency, are now living in a car and need help receiving housing assistance. It is assisting the H.O.P.E. team in getting a homeless woman to the hospital or comforting the women who comes to the mission to get hygiene products and reveals her mother just died. It is praying for the person who is in pain.

It is seeing a new person begin their journey in the Life Recovery Program and successfully graduate. It is watching the mission volunteers and staff’s desire to love and serve every day. It is accepting the gifts from our wonderful donors.
