What does a typical meal we serve to our guests look like? Let me tell you, it is a fantastic meal. Our volunteers prepare such great food. We have a saying around the mission: “It all starts with a meal.” We know for so many of our guests this may be the only meal they will eat until the next day.

The guest is invited in to the church or facility, welcomed, seated, and served. We want them to feel loved and accepted, since so often they are not treated this way. The greatest thing that happens many times is they arrive hot, hungry, and often angry (we call it hangry), but then as they relax and enjoy a meal, their smile returns and the joy begins to show.
