I have witnessed so many things that have moved me. I often say, “I don’t want to ever not be in awe of God!” One story stands out when I think of some of the amazing acts that have moved me to tears and admiration for God: I received a phone call in the late afternoon on the Friday before Christmas. When I answered the phone, I heard a voice of desperation on the other end coming from the director of another agency. The conversation started with, “All of my gifts are gone, and the storage unit is empty.” There were tears, and then a question: “What am I going to do? I have 200 kids counting on me.”

We prayed together and I asked if I could call back. Fifteen minutes later I received a call from a family that wanted to donate gifts; they brought over 200 bags full of toys and many other items. We had already distributed to all of our families, so I knew who these toys were for. I called the director back and said Jesus had provided! I told them about the donation we were about to receive and they came straight over to the mission. When they saw how much was donated they were in awe of God.

My faith has grown here at the mission—seeing firsthand how God provides for His people is simply awesome. Thank you for partnering with us to be a light in the world. Merry Christmas.
